Jobber is field service software for home service pros, in their own words. Fixty is built around a vehicle. That difference decides most of this comparison, and it does not decide all of it in Fixty’s favour.
Jobber is a serious product with a real mobile workflow: quote, schedule and get paid from your phone is their own line, and the table below quotes it. Mechanics do use it. The question worth answering is not whether it runs, it is what it was drawn around.
We read their industries page looking for auto repair and did not find it. Auto detailing is there. That is an observation about a list on their site rather than a claim that Jobber turns mechanics away, and it is the single most useful thing on this page, because it explains everything downstream: the quote templates, the job forms, the inspections and the vocabulary are all written for a visit to a property rather than to a vehicle.
Jobber also wins rows here outright. It plans routes for a whole crew, it syncs to QuickBooks Online, and it sells seats to a team. Fixty does none of those things, and the honest comparison says so before it says anything else.

When Jobber is the better choice
- You run a crew rather than working alone. Jobber sells seats and assigns work across a team, and Fixty gives one mechanic one workspace.
- You want routes planned for you. Jobber generates routes for a whole crew for a day or a week, and Fixty does not do route optimization at all.
- Your books live in QuickBooks Online. Jobber syncs clients, invoices, payments and payouts into it, and Fixty has no accounting integration today.
- Your work is home service rather than auto repair. Jobber describes itself for home service pros, and its quotes, job forms and inspections are written around a site visit rather than a vehicle.
What Fixty does not do
Fixty answers no on 5 of the 16 rows above: route optimization, parts inventory management, multi technician teams, tire and wheel shop tools and accounting sync. They are collected here rather than left scattered through the table, because a row you have to hunt for is a row that was hidden.
Route optimization is the one worth saying out loud. Fixty does not plan the driving order of your day. It was advertised once by mistake and the claim was retracted, and 5 of the 12 products compared across this cluster publish a route optimization feature on their own sites: Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Trackara Pro and Deelo.
Jobber publishes one, quoted in the table above with the page it came from. On that row Jobber wins outright.
Auto repair is not on Jobber’s list of trades
Their industries index enumerates the trades Jobber positions itself for and describes the audience as home service pros across every industry. That phrase is quoted in the table with its URL. Reading the list on August 29, 2026, auto repair was not on it and auto detailing was.
What that does not mean: it does not mean the software refuses a repair business, and it does not mean nobody runs a van on it. What it does mean is that nothing in the product is shaped around a car. A repair job has a vehicle at the centre of it, and the history that matters is the history of that vehicle rather than of the address it was parked at. When the tool has no first class idea of the thing you are fixing, you end up keeping that context somewhere else, which is usually a notes field or your memory.
Fixty is the opposite trade off. It knows what a vehicle is and it does not know what a lawn is, which is exactly as limiting in the other direction.
Approval: the whole quote, or only the lines they want
Jobber sends the quote by text and the customer opens it and approves it or asks for changes. Their own help documentation says that, and the sentence is quoted in the table, which is why that row reads Partial rather than Yes: what it describes is a decision about the quote as a whole.
Fixty is built the other way round. The customer opens the link, ticks the lines they want, declines the rest and signs. On a repair job that difference is money: the brake job gets approved on the spot, the deferred suspension work stays on the record as declined instead of vanishing into a phone call, and you have a signature against exactly what was authorised.
We did not find line by line selection documented on their site. As everywhere on this page, not found is recorded as not found. If Jobber ships it and we missed it, the fix is a URL and a quote, not an argument.
The routing row goes to Jobber, plainly
Jobber’s scheduling page says it will generate the most efficient routes for an entire crew, for one day or a whole week, all at once. That is quoted in the table. It is a real feature and it is one Fixty does not have at all.
Fixty does not do route optimization. It was advertised once by mistake, the claim was retracted, and the feature registry behind this table now records it as a no so that no future page can quietly re-acquire it.
If your day is decided by drive time between jobs rather than by which job is next in the queue, that is a genuine reason to choose Jobber over Fixty and nothing else on this page outweighs it.
Questions people ask about Jobber
- Can you use Jobber for auto repair?
- You can, and people do, but Jobber does not list auto repair among the trades it positions itself for. Reading their industries page on August 29, 2026, auto detailing was on the list and auto repair was not, and they describe their audience as home service pros. Nothing in the product is drawn around a vehicle, so the vehicle context ends up in a notes field. If that is fine for your work, Jobber is a strong tool.
- Does Jobber work for mobile mechanics?
- Mobility is not the gap. Jobber’s own field service app page says you can quote, schedule and get paid right from your phone, and that is quoted with its URL in the comparison above. The gap is subject matter: quotes, job forms and inspections are written around a site visit rather than a vehicle.
